You will identify the goal of your clinic visit in your health history; this way your nurse will
be prepared to address whatever is most important to you.
Why are the Nurse On Board clinics held at MapleCare Physiotherapy?
We have been collaborating with MapleCare Physio since 2016 to meet the physio
needs of our clients. Regardless, we respect that our clients may be using the services
of another physiotherapist, and there is no requirement to change their physio provider.
What is the difference between a clinic visit and the community program?
A clinic visit is designed to deal with a specific issue, whereas our community program
is better positioned to address complexity and challenges in the home, while allowing
for thorough assessments and collaboration with physicians and other professionals.
Can I receive support if I do not live in the Ottawa area?
Nurse On Board is well-positioned to provide virtual visits, with the understanding that
some issues are difficult to address in this format. A home visit may be possible if the
client is willing to pay for mileage fees.
What are the qualifications of the nurses who offer care for PD?
A Nurse Entrepreneur Award through RNFOO in 2021 has allowed our highly
experienced Registered Nurses to advance their knowledge and expertise in PD Care
Management, and to create specialized PD care plans and protocols.
